Our international ERP client with Atlantic offices based in Halifax NS is growing again. As a result we require the services of a dynamic Systems Management Consultant to join the team. This large ERP provider gives its clients the technology to manage their supply chain, manufacturing, distribution and business processes end to end. They do things differently than their competitors and as a result they require someone special to fill this role.

You are a born leader, driven and customer oriented; you can work independently and collaboratively and bring a bright energetic professional level of service to the company, the role and the client sites.  As a key member of the Atlantic team the Management Consultant will have a variety of roles including Project Management, set up and installation, support and training of the company’s products and services.

Areas of Responsibility:

Project Management

• Prepare and document an installation plan for each new client based on our client’s accepted methodologies and close the project cycle.
• Co‑ordinate conversion activities with key client stakeholders to keep projects on track and everyone well informed on progress, milestones, and potential delays.  And pro-actively take corrective action when required.

Customer education & Consulting

• Provide on-site training, one-on-one client coaching, or classroom training events as the circumstances warrant.  Often this will be focused on the best usage of our client’s software in the client environment.

Software Setup

• Physically install new software on server including managing the server connections and hardware infrastructure issues as they impact our client.  Often this will mean working with the client’s IT person to ensure effective testing for suitable performance.
• Perform software tailoring through the extensive in-system preferences and setup options as well as simple customization through VB scripting of fields, adding of custom forms, and SQL database manipulation. 
• For more complex customization requirements, undertake to fully understand and document the client needs, work with our client’s development department to deliver the software, and work with the client to install and train on the solution. 

Troubleshooting

• Analyze and solve technical difficulties encountered on client systems.  This includes researching the problem, attempting standard resolution techniques, and documenting efforts and issues where additional support is required. 

Required skills:

• University Education or Equivalent
• 5 years of relevant experience delivering technology solutions to clients
• Exceptional communication skills
• Exceptional problem solving Skills
• IT Network experience
• VB Scrip and or SQL database exposure
• Exceptional ability to build rapport with customers
